What a stunning classic theme for a birthday party and so much scope for cuteness! Just looking at the Beatrix Potter’s classic books inspires me with ideas of what we can make in cake and cookie dough and these are some examples. This was firmly based on the original book with handpainted illustrations taken from the book and reproduced in edible form on the cookies however it is possible to do a slightly more modern twist with the characters in light of the recent CBeebies version of Peter Rabbit and friends. My daughter chose this for her 3rd birthday and I think whilst not true to the original, it is much more suitable for a slightly older child especially if they are big fan of the TV programme as she is.
